Strength Rx
Are you looking to take your strength to the next level? Your prescription is here! Strength Rx. In this program you will utilize big, compound movements and a 5 x 5 sets and reps scheme to break through and attain a whole new level of strength.
This is not a workout for beginners. If you have a solid training base and have been stuck doing 3 sets of 10 reps then try this program out.
Here’s how it works. Each exercise will be performed for five sets of five reps. You will start on the first set with a weight you can lift around eight times, but you’ll only perform five reps. Stick with this weight for all your sets and by then end of the five sets, the five reps will be very tough. Rest 1-2 minutes between sets. It may take you a session or two to get a feel for the appropriate weight but don’t worry. This workout should be done twice a week. Each week try to increase your first set weight and after four weeks take a week off.
Good luck and remember as the weights get heavier pay attention to form. Make sure your technique is strict and proper. Be in control of all movements.
